About me

I’ve been a writer and editor for more than fifteen years,* covering such key issues as 17th century brewing techniques, virtual reality hiking, Viking dialect in North Yorkshire and the use of chloroform for criminal purposes.

Mainly, though, I write about travel and the outdoors, and I’ve squandered a good deal of my life wearing out boot leather in the hills.

Full professional details are on my LinkedIn page, and you can also follow me on Instagram and Twitter.

*I am always a bit sceptical when people write this, since having done something for a long time is no guarantee that you’re any good at it.
