I started a new job last week, and as part of my induction process I have been required to complete various bits of e-learning. They have been the usual sorts of things – how to lift a box, fire safety, workstation assessments and the like. All relatively painless, but with the occasional moments of unintentional comedy typical of such courses.

One course was on data protection, and featured the following helpful graphic. Ignoring the fact that there has never been an Englishman called Hank, turn your attention to the fragrant Janice. Admire her porcelain skin and youthful smile. Now look at her date of birth.
